Artist Statement

As an artist, engineer, and researcher, I work in the entanglement of machine perception and human experience. How this intelligent technological system mediates how we see the world and what we see is never just what is there. Considering how machines perceive is shaped by human design, intention, and error. My practice is an ongoing inquiry into the unstable relationship between sensing and knowing, between input and interpretation. Drawing from philosophy and psychology, I build hybrid systems—interactive installations, computational artifacts, perceptual illusions—that resist resolution and ask the viewer to sit inside ambiguity. I am interested in the iterative exchange between us and a system that reflects, distorts, and sometimes surprises. Treating the work I make through generative AI as a provocation, one that challenges my assumptions about authorship, subjectivity, and control. The aim is not to create new images, but to expose the unseen systems, both neural and cultural, that shape what we think we see. My artistic truth lies in this tension. My works act as metaphorical mirrors or projections, interpreted through our lens that refuse to reflect clearly. I want the work to glitch, to shimmer, to slip between categories: art and science, self and other, signal and noise. In an age of automated output, I am less interested in what AI can produce and more compelled by what it can reveal: about our minds, our myths, and the shifting nature of truth.
