Artist Statement

AI is a new palette. A tool with its own strange beauty — one that lets oil painting speak to cinema, and video art echo tradition. Digital art, powered by AI, is a complete new emerging language. A space where disciplines converge and where new, collective visions can take root to tackle our future. I use it to merge the tactile and the digital, not for spectacle, but to carry a political message: about the state of the world, about what’s vanishing, and what we might still preserve. For me "Ecology" isn’t a theme : it’s the lens. The urgency. The reason to create.

AI Art experience

AI has given e the ability to create a new kind of artform, something at the border of classical art painting and digital animation. Blending sources from millions of online images, I believe that AI has the power to create universal images that speak to everyone, and as an artist engaged in social and climate action it is a fantastic opportunity.

Personal experience

My personal experience of making art has always been focused on art direction. I've always started my artpieces by collecting a large amount of inspiration, creating moodboard, storyboarding what would become later a complex 3D animation. Now with AI I'm able to focus more on art direction than on using complex and technical 3D softwares.

Unexpected thought

I'm always surprised by the AI generations I create, for me it's almost a collaboration in which I listen to AI creatives proposition. Most of the time they are random and pointless, but from time to time I get nice surprises. Lately I was working on a wild fire AI painting, and when I started to animate it suddenly a water Canadair plane came out of the smoke and flew away. AI can be very poetic sometimes.

Description

This artvideo is part of a large series called "Incendies" . It is an art project about people contemplating fires, passively standing, while the world is burning down. They seem to live in a distant reality, away from any pressing issues, at the edge of the unknown. This series is a metaphore of our society, confronted with climate disasters and political conflict, we prefer to live in denial and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. It was exhibited in the digitial art section of Art Basel 25 with the parisian gallery Danae.

Process

This artwork addresses the highest spheres of power, those who shape the fate of our world. We are living in a time of deep tension, with the rise of war, fascism, and global temperatures. I truly believe that art holds the power to offer critical perspective, and to inspire hope for future generations.

Description

The lovers is an artwork about the end of the world and the last moment you live with the one you love.

Process

My creative process is inspired by my negative visions of the future, especially about climate change and society issues. My works invite the public to explore scenes altered by heat and to feel the impact of climat on our lives and those around us. Employing both digital creation and canvas painting, my work presents itself as an exploration of the future through fiction. I aim to questions our attitudes towards environmental challenges, providing a critical perspective on our society and our future on Earth.
