AI Art experience

What excites me about integrating AI into my art is the time efficiency it offers. As a photographer, the traditional process often involves scheduling shoots, coordinating with teams, and ensuring everyone is available on the same day and so on. But with AI, I can go beyond this whole production work, which allow me to focus mainly on the creative aspect of my vision. Also, I find that the fact that it is quick to generate an image fuels my creativity even further.

Personal experience

The fact that I am a beauty photographer and photo retoucher influence a lot my AI work because I think about the lighting, and I do a lot of post-production to make the skin of the AI models I create as real as possible.

Description

In my art piece "Real Lies," I aimed to explore aging by blending old and new, visually representing time through a single face. It highlights the contrasting perspectives that come with age. The eyes, central to the piece, symbolize viewing the world through both young and old perspectives. By merging a young and a mature face, I reflect on the duality of identity—how we perceive things through both our past and present selves, carrying both who we were and who we become.

Process

In my creative process, I wanted to revisit the childhood joy I experienced while making collages, cutting out images from magazines and juxtaposing them to create new compositions. This approach inspired me to bring that same sense of exploration into my current work. Also passionate about portrait photography, I now aim to recreate beauty shots with AI-generated images, focusing on the eyes and emotions to make them as realistic as possible.

Tools

I used MidJourney, Photoshop, and printing techniques.
