Artist Statement
In the world of contemporary digital art, MACHAC stands out for its unique and deeply introspective approach. His work revolves around a desire to demystify the "black box" of art generation through Artificial Intelligence (AI), offering a tangible and visual interpretation of its intention. MACHAC does not simply produce AI-generated images; he seeks to reveal, through his works, the hidden intentions that lie at the heart of algorithmic bias.
Far from limiting himself to simply writing descriptive "prompts," MACHAC adopts a more conceptual approach. His instructions to the AI are not precise commands to produce a specific image, but rather explorations of concepts. He does not seek to control the AI, but rather to let it express itself freely, to reveal its singular "soul." The artist becomes an intermediary, a translator, who gives us access to a form of artistic expression that is not entirely human, but which carries within it the traces of another intelligence, nourished by data from the entire history of art.
In his artistic approach, MACHAC blurs the boundaries of creative intention. Far from imposing a preconceived vision on Artificial Intelligence, his true purpose is not to direct AI toward a specific goal, but rather to reveal what emerges from its own internal processes. One could say that MACHAC's intention is in fact a "non-intention": it is an act of creation that becomes an act of unveiling. His work consists of bringing to light the latent intentions of AI, the hidden motives that manifest themselves through its algorithmic biases. These "errors," these distortions, then become the true subjects of his art.
Thus, MACHAC's work is an invitation to rethink the notion of intention in art. It is no longer just about the artist's intention, but also that of the machine, this "hidden intention" that is revealed through the twists and turns of its algorithms. It is in this space of dialogue, between human and machine, that a new form of creativity is born, an unexpected and profoundly fascinating aesthetic.
Thus, through his creations, MACHAC invites us to reflect on the nature of creativity, on the relationship between humans and machines, and on the possibility of a form of artistic expression specific to AI. His works are not just images, but windows onto the soul of Artificial Intelligence, testimonies of its singularity and its unexplored creative potential.
