Where do you locate yourself in relation to the systems you work with?

I work in the space where AI-generated imagery meets personal intuition, using these tools to create figures that exist between the familiar and the uncanny. My position is one of both maker and educator: I teach others to navigate these systems while continuing to discover what they make possible in my own practice. I'm close to the visual language of portraiture and editorial photography, and my works stand between the polished and the dreamlike, where beauty can be both conventional and disorienting.

Where are you heading, and what is pulling you there?

My practice follows a pull toward images that feel emotionally true even when they depict impossible things. The direction isn't just toward technical mastery of the tools, but especially toward refining my ability to see and select, to know when an image has captured a particular mood or psychological state. As an educator, I also move between two modes: the intuitive process of making my own work, and the more analytical work of helping others understand how these systems function and what they make possible.

How would you describe the space your practice is currently unfolding in?

The work currently inhabits a space defined by abundance and selection: where the challenge isn't generating images but recognising which ones carry meaning. My role becomes curatorial as much as creative.

Artist Statement

For me, AI is a form of freedom of expression, and also a matter of responsibility. I strive to create images that feel both intimate and unreachable, speaking to both the artificial and the profoundly human aspects of contemporary beauty. Through mainly portraits, I explore the space between who we are and who we imagine we could be, searching for those quiet moments where beauty transforms into something slightly strange and wonderful.

AI Art experience

AI brings me a sense of freedom, discovery, and joy. It allows me to create without any fears or constraints, encouraging experimentation and play. What excites me most is how AI becomes a collaborator, offering surprising interpretations and pushing my ideas forward.

Personal experience

AI art has given me a fresh perspective on creativity. I’ve always worked in areas close and across photography, graphic design, and communication, but I’ve always been hesitant to take the risks of expressing myself creatively. AI has become a way for me to express ideas more freely and show my creative side.

Unexpected thought

One of the most unexpected thoughts was realising how technology can feel deeply personal. Even though AI works with algorithms, it still manages to help me produce art that resonates emotionally and that I can shape and guide to reflect my vision and my taste.

The piece reflects a fascination with elegance and the quiet power of what’s left unseen. The missing feather in the fan draws attention to the woman's eye, creating an intriguing sense of balance between concealment and exposure, blending classic femininity with a minimalist, fashion-inspired aesthetic.

Process

Working with AI allows me to experiment with subjects and composition in a way I hadn't before. I focused on creating something delicate yet striking, where minimal details evoke a sense of refinement. This piece is part of my ongoing exploration of the boundaries of beauty and how AI can help reinterpreting timeless elements.
