Where do you locate yourself in relation to the systems you work with?
For me generative AI is just another tool. For 40+ years my process has never changed, I get a brief, concept, ideate, ideate, ideate and produce. Tools vary depending on the project needs but generally I use the Adobe Suite, Procreate, Midjourney and Runway.
Where are you heading, and what is pulling you there?
I have been using AI for over 3 years and it has become an invaluable tool in helping get to the finish line faster.
How would you describe the space your practice is currently unfolding in?
Same space I have always been in, visual storytelling.
AI Art experience
As a collage/montage illustrator AI gives me the ability to more accurately control the visual assets I use to tell the story.
Personal experience
I have worked in the realm of illustration for 40years and AI is a real asset in getting to a better finished product faster.
Unexpected thought
It’s really limitless. There are no constraints. I can now tell the full story with less compromise to the tools.
Prove you are human
I still love the texture of real-life paint.
