Where do you locate yourself in relation to the systems you work with?

I work within generative systems to disrupt how they stabilize images. These systems condense vast amounts of human-made visual culture, circulating around dominant patterns and reinforced norms. I use this tendency as a revealer. I introduce my own drawings and bodily studies as visual constraints, which I regularly re-inject into the process. This intervention creates friction within the model’s iteration cycle, pushing it away from its habitual attractors, forcing it to generate outside expected islands of form, and extending its field of possibilities through recombination. I position myself precisely where the system, under constraint, can no longer simply replay what it already knows how to produce.

Where are you heading, and what is pulling you there?

My objective is to set perception in motion again. Most contemporary images are consumed without truly being seen. They trigger fast, calibrated emotional responses, sufficient to generate engagement, but insufficient to mobilize attention. I seek to break this mode of consumption. By forcing the image to become unstable, partially resistant, I attempt to move the viewer out of automatic recognition. What guides me is that precise moment when the image no longer delivers immediate satisfaction, but instead demands perceptual effort.

How would you describe the space your practice is currently unfolding in?

My practice unfolds at the junction of two forms of latency. On one side, the latent space of generative models, a statistical space oriented toward stability, repetition, and legibility. On the other, an immanent human presence that does not automatically actualize itself in images. When perceptual automatisms are suspended, this presence can become perceptible. I call ghost the intuition of this state, not as an entity or a generated content, but as a perceptual effect born from a friction between the image and the gaze. My work does not seek to define this ghost. It seeks to create the conditions under which it can appear.
