AI Art experience
I am fascinated by the experience of being mirrored by AI. It feels like having a conceptual partner that not only absorbs your ideas but also introduces fresh inputs, which in turn opens up exciting new pathways. This collaboration allows you to develop ideas and explore inspiring directions, often presenting solutions that you hadn't even considered before. Working with AI becomes a journey of creative discovery, where unexpected insights and innovations emerge, expanding the possibilities of artistic expression.
Personal experience
My personal experience with AI has taught me that you need to approach it with an open mind, ready to be pleasantly surprised. Many prompts might seem promising, but at the beginning of the process, I rely on my gut feeling—what gives me a spark? What triggers an emotional response or intrigue? From that point on, I can explore further, refining and developing the concept. This intuitive approach helps me discover unexpected beauty in the creative process, where the fusion of my instincts and AI’s capabilities lead to truly unique outcomes.
Unexpected thought
Aside from developing a slight addiction to AI, one of the most unexpected outcomes has been that it has led me back to illustrating by hand daily—something I hadn't done at this scale for years. I’m not entirely sure whether this stems from a fear of losing the skills I had learned or if the new possibilities offered by AI inspired me so much that I felt compelled to balance my creativity with rough doodles. In a way, it's been a fascinating loop, where the digital process fuels my manual artistry, helping me rediscover the joy of creating with my own hands.
The first time someone asked me to dance, I didn’t know how to act, so I ended up giving them a show, looking like the dancing kid from the meme (in case you haven’t had internet access until now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=oqxyMnR1gLA). I can’t help but think that AI would have known exactly how to handle a dance situation from the get-go—I mean, it has all the knowledge, right?
But there are plenty of other, perhaps less embarrassing, things that make me human: my empathy, my obsession with lavender, my love for swimming, my desire for deep connections, all the belly laughs, and my urge to always say thank you to ChatGPT.

Description
In a world where fashion often comes at the expense of nature, Crocodels (Crocodile Models 😉) turn the tables. Instead of a crocodile leather bag being worn, the Crocodels wear the excess. Yet, as they reclaim their skin, they become unnecessary predators — this time targeting new, unnatural victims — draped in a decadent amount of pearls, they continue the cycle of exploitation in the fashion industry.
Process
Working with AI often brings forth flawless, but generic faces. What do they truly add to the picture? That’s why, when experimenting with Midjourney, I embrace new creatures and unseen faces—breaking free from (artificial) beauty standards and creating a space where wild elegance reigns supreme.
Tools
I created this piece with Midjourney, using references of different materials and textures with pearly surfaces. I experimented with various color schemes and lighting moods, exploring how they interact with the pearlescent textures.
