AI Art experience
Everything. AI is just a wonderful tool, but the concept is what really matters. Life, media, and art have always been my sources of inspiration. With AI, I bring together completely opposite concepts, but always with a pop style, sometimes ironic, and with a certain melancholic touch. That’s just who I am. That’s also why, besides having my own studio – Serial Cut – I’ve created this 'AI alter ego' called Zagale. It’s an extension of me, fully representing who I am emotionally and creatively.

Unexpected thought
The most unexpected thought was realizing how AI, despite being a tool, can actually become a creative partner. Just need to check the Serial Cut IG. There have been moments when the AI generated ideas or visuals that I hadn’t anticipated, almost as if it was bringing out parts of my subconscious that I wasn’t aware of. It made me question the traditional boundaries between human creativity and technology. It’s both fascinating and a bit unsettling, but in a good way.
Description
My idea is that in 2034, the vibrant foliage and trees will be more than mere decorative elements; they will be celebrated as the heroes of the dance floor. This will suggest a society that will have fully embraced environmentalism, integrating it into their social and recreational spaces. The underground music tracks that will be playing in the club will add to an avant-garde ambiance, indicating a space where cutting-edge culture and ecological sustainability will converge.
Process
My creative process with AI follows the same approach I use in CGI or any other technique. It always begins with a core idea, which I then expand by introducing an unexpected element. For this series, the initial concept revolved around “bonsais in techno-clubs," with the bonsais becoming the true heroes as people dance around them. I generated several iterations, but the image I’ve shared is the ultimate version. It captures the essence of lush foliage, an industrial atmosphere, and dramatic smoke, all contrasted by the vibrant pop of a rainbow. This combination of elements creates both a sense of drama and a playful mood, reflecting the balance between nature and artificial environments.
Tools
It was created using Midjourney, then enhanced with KREA, and more recently I applied another beauty pass and increased the resolution with Magnific.
Adriana Mora is a Latin American art director and multidisciplinary designer who works with various physical and digital techniques, in recent years primarily with CGI. Adriana has been a designer for Apple in California and, more recently, for Google in New York City.
Fantasy is the faculty of the mind to invent mental images that differ from reality both in their details and in the narratives they convey. Most of the time these images can be impractical for creatives, whether they are artists or designers. It is well known that creativity combines fantasy and reason, ensuring that the result can always be realized in practice ; therefore, reason has always limited how far our fantasy could go in the creative field.
With fantasy, it is possible to imagine anything one desires, and Zagale has imagined a wonderful piece. Ecoconscious Club is Zagale’s personal fantasy, illustrated using the tool KREA. This piece captures the harmonious beauty of a dancefloor in the future, more specifically in 2034—a future in which we will have developed a deeply genuine appreciation for nature. In this particular case, nature is represented around a type of industrial scaffolding, completely rejecting the trivial idea that nature’s beauty must be represented as fragile and delicate. The dramatic, contrasting lighting highlights the intersection of two rainbows framing this complex, dreamlike scene.
Zagale’s work emerges at a crucial time when we are constantly questioning the creation of genuine art using AI tools. Today, as always, what truly matters is the information a work of art can convey, and to achieve this, we must abandon all our preconceived notions and create a new object that communicates its message using the tools of our time.
