“Automata Anima (Soul of the Machine)” is a two-chapter exhibition by Patrick Tresset and Celine Shen that explores how robots, algorithms and phygital worlds become extensions of human perception, emotion and spirituality.
ArtVerse presents “Automata Anima (Soul of the Machine)”, a two-part exhibition in which robotic drawing pioneer Patrick Tresset and artist and “architect of phygital ecosystems” Celine Shen investigate the shifting relations between body, machine and code. Chapter I (21–27 May 2026) transforms the gallery into a laboratory for Tresset’s “embodied agents”, where drawing robots create live portraits of visitors and new AI-driven works imagine contemporary human traits through cycles of mark-making and erasure. Chapter II (2–20 June 2026) opens a dialogue between Tresset’s practice and Shen’s textiles, prints, installations and the immersive work “Miroir Cosmique”, in which tarot, augmented reality and AI merge into an algorithmic oracle. Performances such as “Codes Morpho” and “Robot Journal” expand the exhibition into choreography, voice and humanoid robotics, framing the machine as a sensitive partner in a shared post-anthropocentric ecology.
