أ برﻏ أك ار دإ | Aghrab Idrāk: Thresholds of Perception is a collateral exhibition at the 61st International Art Exhibition La Biennale di Venezia presented by VCUarts Qatar at Palazzo Cavanis in Venice. The project is co curated by Chase Westfall and Hesperia Iliadou and brings together faculty led research from ten labs of the Institute for Creative Research at VCUarts Qatar.
The exhibition presents installations that work with sound light moving image publication kinetic structures and systems of artificial intelligence based interaction. Projects include Mapping Migration Memories Bandhani Arabi From Thread to Word Oceans and Lands Drifting Senses and Knowledges and I Was Left Behind Preceding Emptiness The Gulf Between Us Sonic Fields Chrysalis A Monocular Monologue and Whisper from United Geekdom. The works address topics such as movement between desert and sea textile and calligraphic practices everyday life in the Gulf region and forms of engagement between humans and machines.
The exhibition is accompanied by the public symposium Relational Ecologies Perception Mobility and Collective Form which takes place in Venice on June 23 and 24 2026.
