"My Body Is A Temple" is an exhibition of three site-specific installations conceived at the intersection of arts and critical technology studies. Each work uses the histories of biomedical visualization as a starting point to propose speculative visions of how technology shapes visual and spatial conceptions of internal bodies. The title references a digital mantra often associated with #selfcare, adapted from a Christian biblical phrase and now used in body-optimization culture, frequently tied to gendered products and ideals of bodily sanctity.
The phrase "My Body Is A Temple" suggests something architectural-something one can step inside. The exhibition literalizes this idea: visitors enter three "bodies," each not necessarily fully human or strictly linked to internal medicine. Each installation responds to the architectural design of the Funkhaus, Austria’s oldest broadcast network, and explores speculative and critical views on the continuum of technologized flesh. Binaries between human, machine, and animal are dissolved, and internal flesh is understood as something technologically rendered and expanded through speculative spatial experimentation.
