An art event is traditionally a container that holds objects, contains time, and frames discourse. The Wrong proposes a radical inversion perfectly suited to its theme of artificial intelligence. What if the container became the content? What if the architecture of the event was the primary exhibit? The Wrong Biennale lays itself bare not as a collection of works about AI, but as a living system whose anatomy narrates the very condition of creation in an age when the machines have started to dream.
The Wrong returns once again, to explore what art becomes when technology stops being a tool and starts being the muse.
The Wrong Biennale returns to your screen to showcase what it means to create now.
When The Wrong first appeared in 2013, the internet still felt weightless. Artists coded, glitched, streamed, and dreamed their way into new forms of expression.Twelve years forward, now algorithms curate and machines imagine. The Wrong returns once again, to explore what art becomes when technology stops being a tool and starts being the muse.
The Wrong is not an exhibition but a constellation.
A global network of digital pavilions and physical embassies hosted by curators, artists, and institutions worldwide. Each node connects people, ideas, and artworks in a collective choreography of curiosity.Since its first edition, The Wrong has gathered more than 10,000 artists and curators, received the European Commission’s S+T+ARTS honorary mention, joined the International Biennial Association, and appeared in major institutions such as the Centre Pompidou Paris, Tate Britain London, Centre del Carme Valencia, ZKM Zentrum für Kunst und Medien Karlsruhe, Centro de Cultura Digital Ciudad de México and SESC São Paulo. But numbers tell only half the story. The Wrong is not just an event; it’s a global coalition that grows in the cracks between art, technology, and society. Only possible when boundaries dissolve, and imagination expands.
The upcoming 7th edition embraces a world transformed by artificial intelligence.
A world where the curator may be human, machine, or something in between... The Wrong becomes both a mirror and a laboratory. A large-scale reflection of our present time, continually prototyping new ways of curating, thinking, seeing, and creating together. The Wrong Returns. To connect. To question. To dream. Again.
About The Wrong
Founded in 2013 by David Quiles Guilló, The Wrong Biennale operates as an open, decentralized platform for artists and curators to present digital art. The Wrong does not have a formal thematic focus, and each pavilion is curated independently.
