Univers Programmés examines how artistic practices have transformed in response to the rise of information technology, internet networks, and artificial intelligence. The exhibition revisits questions first raised at the 3rd Lyon Biennale in 1995—such as the role of traditional techniques, the boundary between reality and virtuality, and the impact of algorithms and interactivity on art.It presents a wide range of media, including installations, films, video games, photographs, conceptual works, and tapestries, featuring both historical and new works. The show highlights how digital tools, code, and AI have become not just instruments but languages and materials for creation, and how artists are exploring, critiquing, and sometimes delegating creativity to the machine itself.Univers Programmés is both a reflection on the acceleration of the digital revolution in art and a visionary look at the future of creativity in the age of AI.
