Village Numérique 2026, presented by MUTEK and Xn Québec, transforms Montréal's Quartier des Spectacles into a free, open-air circuit of digital art including Myriam Bleau's kinetic LED sculpture Unfold, Brigita Gedgaudas's motion-capture installation Be Vardů, Be Kojů: (Traces), a participatory light and sound piece by Daily tous les jours and Ottomata, Ghazal Majidi's living image archive, and a large-scale presentation from blockchain art collective RGBMTL featuring 25 international digital artists.
Now in its third edition, Village Numérique brings together artists from Québec, Canada, and around the world working across interactive installation, projection, light, sound, and emerging technologies.Myriam Bleau's Unfold is a kinetic LED sculpture that shifts with the viewer's perspective. Brigita Gedgaudas's Be Vardů, Be Kojů: (Traces), presented with InterAccess, uses photogrammetry and a Kinect sensor to translate audience movement into real-time projections. Daily tous les jours and Ottomata invite visitors to generate light, music, and movement through participation, while Ghazal Majidi's Twenty Twenty-Five, produced with DigiBC, captures visitors' reflections and folds them into a living archive of images.
