Where do you locate yourself in relation to the systems you work with?
Initially, my preoccupation with AI’s corruptions anchored my work in a form of historic legitimacy. However, I soon realized that I am not a historian dedicated to cataloging systems or machines; rather, AI is simply one of many tools I employ to express an inner life— one that is both reflected in and interrogated by the technical process.
Where are you heading, and what is pulling you there?
While the "usual suspects" of negentropy and entropy govern my technical dynamics, my trajectory is not a mathematical certainty. Where I am heading remains contingent on what I perceive and feel. My direction is guided by the internal necessity of personal growth, intentionally diverging from the computational motive force of "increase" or optimization.
How would you describe the space your practice is currently unfolding in?
The space my practice currently inhabits is a "left-behind" place—a dung heap of exhaust data that remains indifferent to meaning, understanding, or memory. It is an environment that feels uncannily objective, even authoritative, yet remains fundamentally uninhabitable. Precisely because this space is free from human expectation—perhaps even embodying a form of metaphysical nihilism—it becomes the ideal vacuum in which to fashion objects of profound personal meaning.
Artist Statement
My story is that of the young sensorium: experiential, liminal, and contingent.
Style is an inner life expressed.
The thing to know of an artist by way of their style is that they are alone in the world.
