AI Art experience

Integrating AI into my art practice is an exciting frontier that revolutionizes storytelling and enhances creative workflows. With over a decade in advertising and media, I’m thrilled by how machine learning transforms narrative-driven copywriting and visual artistry. AI enables personalized narratives and streamlines tasks in video editing and photography, allowing for more creative exploration. This technology inspires innovative campaigns that blend human creativity with machine precision, promising limitless possibilities for hyper-realistic imaging and personalized content creation as I push the boundaries of artistic expression.

Personal experience

My personal experiences significantly shape the AI art I create, especially by allowing me to express ideas that often remain unvoiced in my daily professional role due to constraints like budget, logistics, and talent booking. In traditional advertising, these factors can limit creative exploration, but with AI, I can take control of the entire process. I can act as a strategist, creative director, and photographer all in one, enabling me to bring my visions to life without the financial and logistical barriers that typically accompany large-scale projects. This newfound autonomy empowers me to experiment freely and produce art that reflects my true creative voice while connecting deeply with audiences.

Unexpected thought

The most unexpected thought my art generation has led me to is the realization of how deeply interconnected creativity and technology can be, challenging the traditional notion of authorship in art. As I explore AI-generated art, I’ve found that the collaborative process between human intuition and machine learning opens up new avenues for expression that I never anticipated. This synergy prompts me to question what it means to be an artist in a digital age—whether the essence of creativity lies solely in human experience or if it can also emerge from algorithms and data. This exploration has not only expanded my creative horizons but has also encouraged me to embrace a more fluid understanding of artistic identity, where collaboration with technology becomes a vital part of my artistic journey.

Description

The idea of the artwork is kind of like satire or an exaggerated view of the corporate world. From my own personal experience, the corporate environment can be a battlefield. You'll get crushed or even backstabbed. So, the idea of having a picture of a person wearing armor and holding a sword can imply their readiness to face the battlefield and slay the boardroom.

Process

I brainstormed with ChatGPT to construct an effective prompt optimized for AI-generated visuals. Then, I brought back the raw AI materials to Photoshop and did some tone and color editing to achieve the desired cinematic aesthetic that represents the grittiness of corporate life.

Tools

I use ChatGPT to construct the prompt, LetzAI to generate the image, Leonardo.ai to upscale the image, and Photoshop for tone and color grading.
