AI Art experience

Integrating AI into my art excites me because it levels the creative playing field. As an advertising professional focused on sustainability, I often faced limits when bringing bold, visually compelling ideas to life without a big budget. With AI, however, I can finally create the images I envision. I’m able to focus on the message I want to convey – without limits. In fact, it even enables me to make art in my personal life in a way that wouldn’t have been possible before.

Personal experience

i think it's so great that the limitations i often experience in traditional productions due to budget constraints are lifted in AI. i can freely express my creative vision and convey important messages to myself - simply from my desk at home, which is great. Also, the art I create with AI is a reflection of my own journey - it shows how important it is to stay open to change and be inspired by new ways of doing things.

Unexpected thought

The most unexpected realization was that with AI, I can let go of some control—and that’s exactly what brings out these unique, unpredictable results. Instead of planning every step, I let the technology play a part in the process, and it often takes me in directions I’d never have chosen myself. It’s this mix of surprise and control that’s redefining my creativity.

Description

This piece is a blend of my work in marketing and my artistic side. The text "DU SOLLST NICHT TÜTEN!" is something I came up with myself—it’s a twist on the commandment "Thou shalt not kill," turning it into a message about plastic waste. It reflects the tension between consumption and sustainability, something I deal with daily in my professional life. The boldness of the design, mixed with the thought-provoking message, shows how my creative and advertising worlds collide.

Process

One thing I'd love to share is that my creative process is really a mix of intuition and strategy. Coming from a marketing background, I’m always thinking about how messages will resonate, but with my art, I let things flow more naturally. The blend of conceptual thinking and spontaneous creativity is what drives me. I love playing with bold visuals and unexpected twists in language—like the phrase I created for this piece.

Tools

I usually jump between several tools like Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, and Photoshop. It’s a fully AI-generated work with no initial photo reference. The only manual touches in Photoshop were the sky and the text. This back-and-forth between AI tools and traditional editing lets me blend the precision of technology with the creative tweaks I need to make the final image just right.
