AI Art experience

The collaboration between human creativity and AI is only getting started, and that’s what makes it so thrilling.

Personal experience

My personal experiences, particularly my West African roots, play a crucial role in shaping the AI-generated art I create. I blend cultural influences from my heritage with my passion for contemporary media, anthropology, folklore, and fashion. This eclectic fusion allows my identity to flow through each piece. The vibrant, diverse elements in my work reflect my cultural background, ensuring that every creation is a unique expression of my life's journey and the worlds I inhabit

Unexpected thought

The most unexpected realization I've had is that, just like any other medium or artistic process, working with AI helps me discover more about myself. It serves as a mirror, reflecting my ideas, emotions, and even subconscious thoughts in ways I didn’t anticipate. As I collaborate with AI, it pushes me to think deeper and refine my creative vision, allowing me to express parts of myself that might not have surfaced otherwise. This process of discovery has been one of the most profound aspects of my work with AI.

Prove you are human
What sets me apart is that I’m not focused on creating flawless, photo-like images. For me, the deeper meaning and the story behind each piece are far more important. I’m drawn to the emotional and cultural layers embedded in my work—those elements that provoke thought and connection. It’s about conveying a narrative or an idea rather than aiming for technical perfection, which keeps my process rooted in human expression.

Reimagine power - A bold subversion of history through digital art
Essay by Ingo Faecks

Digital art has opened up new realms of creative possibility, offering artists the freedom to reimagine worlds and defy conventions. The artwork I’ve chosen to discuss embodies these principles beautifully. Where an 18th-century portrait might have shown a white man seated in a position of power, here we see a Black woman occupying that space—clad in a reimagined colonial costume. Dressed in a striking white tailcoat, she sits confidently within a richly decorated room of dark, luxurious wood, gazing back at the viewer with an expression of quiet authority, perhaps even a knowing sense that she is on the cusp of conquering a continent.

But intriguingly, it’s not Africa she’s about to conquer—it’s Europe, a twist hinted at by the subtle presence of a cow on the wall, a nod to Western animal symbolism. This clever inversion subverts expectations, inviting viewers to contemplate a world that could have been and to reflect on the legacies of history. What makes this piece so compelling is its layered storytelling. It doesn’t just depict a figure; it challenges us to confront and reconsider.

The work’s powerful visual language and intricate symbolism create a dialogue about colonialism, power, and identity, forcing us to question deeply rooted narratives. This is art that doesn’t just capture a moment but extends an invitation—one that urges us to embark on an imaginative journey through a history that, while fictional, carries a provocative truth. The work’s intellectual depth and strong artistic vision make it as thought-provoking as it is visually striking.
